The Oman Banks Association hosted its Annual Dinner and Networking Event 2024 on Tuesday, 10th December, under the auspices of H.E. Tahir Al-Amry, Executive President of the Central Bank of Oman (CBO), and attended by H.E. Sheikh Abdullah Al Salmi, Executive President of the Financial Services Authority (FSA). The event gathered leaders and executives from the banking industry and senior officials from the CBO under the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) theme.

OBA hosted the Annual Operations Event 2024 on 26th November 2024 via MS Teams.

During the month of September OBA organized a football tournament for the banks with the participation of 10 banks including the Central Bank of Oman.

The second session was held on Thursday, August 8, 2024, in the kid's library at Sultan Qaboos Complex Youth Culture & Entertainment.

The first session was held on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, in the lecture room at Sultan Qaboos Complex Youth Culture & Entertainment. The session focused on providing solutions for SME owners to thrive beyond the Khareef season and help them sustain their business all year round.

In collaboration with the Central Bank of Oman (CBO) and under the series of Arab Financial Inclusion campaigns OBA hosted a session in Sohar on the 24th of July 2024. 

The Oman Banks Association (OBA) celebrates Global Money week (21st to the 26th of April 2024) by promoting financial literacy and inclusion among its youth. Through this campaign, OBA’s goal is to spread the required knowledge and skills to society on how to make financial decisions and navigate through the modern economy by conducting a series of engaging activities and initiatives.

The Bowling tournament held its 4-day tournament on the 19th 21st 26th and 28th of February 2024, witnessing a strong competition between the 13 participating banks. The annual sports event is a part of the Oman Banks Association’s drive to promote various types of sports and encourage the banking community to participate in recreational activities, strengthen relationships, and build better ties within the banking community.

On 16th January 2024, the Oman Banks Association in collaboration with Gartner organized a one-day event attended by OBA Chairman Mr. Abdul Hakeem Al Ojaili, OBA's Banking Technology Committee, Operations Committee, and senior bankers

The virtual meeting took place on 29th March 2023 and was attended by 106 members. 

This session took place on 19th March 2023 at the OBA office and was attended by 15 bank executives. 

 This virtual event took place on 21st March 2023 and was attended by 115 bank executives. 

OBA's Office & Academy Manager attended this event by Bank Nizwa that was held on 20th March 2023 at the Sheraton Hotel Muscat. The event that recognized the efforts of inspiring women in the Islamic Finance Industry around the world was held under the auspices of HH Dr. Mona Fahd Al Said, Vice Chancellor Sultan Qaboos University. 

The series of events took place between 12th and 16th March 2023 at the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre. OBA CEO was invited on 14th March 2023 to take part in the discussion panel by Economist Impact on the topic of Digitization & Innovation in Green & Sustainable Finance. OBA team attended this event.

On 26th February 2023, OBA CEO attended Bank Dhofar's Riada event held under the patronage of HE Tahir Al Amri, CBO's Executive President.  

On 23rd February 2023, the OBA team attended OMINVEST's 40th Anniversary celebrations.

On the 20th and 21st of February 2023, the OBA team attended the inauguration of Ahli Bank's new Head Office. 

On 2nd February 2023, OBA CEO attended NBO's 50th Anniversary celebrations.
