On 29th November 2020, OBA's Operations Committee organized a virtual conference attended by 90 bankers, consultants, and other stakeholders. The event covered a wide range of topics such as Transforming Organizations with Future of Banking, Operational Excellence in Banking Sectors and Cost Optimization in COVID times.

Oman's first virtual Expo was held in which OBA presented a paper on ‘Generation Z & The Future of Banking’.

OBA presented a paper on the banking sector and the economic stimulus packages to help the business community at the Oman Business Resilience event that was held under the patronage HE Nasser Khamis Al Jashmi.

Oman Banks Association held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Monday, 29th March 2021. The meeting was held through an electronic platform and was presided over by Mr. Abdul Hakeem Omar Al Ojaili, Chairman of the Oman Banks Association Board of Directors. The meeting was attended by a number of senior executives of Banks operating in the Sultanate.

On 24th February 2021, CBFS in coordination with OBA, organised Fintech Opportunities webinar that was attended by bankers, IT specialist, students, and Academia’s. Two members of the OBA Technology Committee presented papers at the event.  

The second OCCI South Batinah Tasheel event was held on 4th March 2021 with the participation of a number of banks and the South Batinah local business community.  

As part of Bank Muscat's Customer First series of webinars, OBA CEO was invited as a speaker to the event that took place on 17th March 2021. OBA CEO's presentation was titled 'The Age of the Customer', in which he presented a number of topics relating to the customer being at the core of an organization. 

OBA CEO was invited to deliver a keynote speech at this virtual event that was held on 24th March 2021. OBA CEO's presentation was titled 'Cyber Security in Banking'. 

OBA CEO presented Banking Innovation at this virtual event held on 1st June 2021. The presentation covered topics, such as, innovation and technology adoption during pandemic, new Fintech applications, lifestyle innovations in banking, open banking, and the changing landscape. 

OBA CEO was invited to be a panelist in this virtual event held on 21st June 2021. 

OBA CEO was invited to be the moderator for the panel of discussion in this virtual event that took place on 12th July 2021. Other panelist included executives from First Abu Dhabi Bank, Bahrain Institute of Banking & Finance, and Infosys. 

OBA CEO (being a member of Etimad panel of assessors) was invited to attend the virtual graduation ceremony for 250 Etimad program students. The event was held on 13th July 2021 under the auspices of HE Khamis Al Jabri, Head of Tanfeedh Follow-up Unit. OBA CEO received a commemorative gift and an appreciation certificate from the ministry of Labour.

A virtual event took place on the 3rd  of August 2021 in association with Oman Data Park (ODP). The event featured industry experts in High Performance Computing and Artificial Intelligence and was attended by 50 bank executives. 

The event organized by United Media Services (UMS) and supported by the OBA was held on 22nd September 2021 at Al Bustan Ritz Carlton. Chief guest at the event was HE CBO's Executive President who delivered a keynote address presenting lessons learnt from the pandemic, CBO's digital journey, and new initiatives. 

This in-depth analysis was presented by legal experts from Addleshaw Goddard.  35 bank executives attended this event that took place on 1st September 2021. Interesting insight and debate on matters relating to corporates in the new commercial law.

OBA's Operations Committee held its second annual event on matters relating to banking operations. The main theme of the event was Future Banking and Digitization. The event took place on 14th September 2021 and was attended by 77 senior executives from banks and CBO.
