Arab Financial Inclusion Session in Dhofar - SME session

The first session was held on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, in the lecture room at Sultan Qaboos Complex Youth Culture & Entertainment. The session focused on providing solutions for SME owners to thrive beyond the Khareef season and help them sustain their business all year round.

The session started with Ms. Marah Al Lawati introducing OBA and giving a brief on financial inclusion and then she introduced the speakers to start the session. The session began with Mr. Asim Ba’Omar in which he spoke about his journey as an entrepreneur from his humble beginning until now, as he is currently an owner of multiple business in Dhofar.

The second speaker was Dr. Khalid Al Shanfri, Dr. Khalid went on to explain different strategies by which business owners can sustain their profit and survive beyond the seasons along with how business owners need to market their businesses.

The third speaker was Mr. Mohsin Al Shanfari, Mr. Mohsin talked about the importance of utilizing the E-Services provided by the banks for smooth and safe transactions.

The Last speaker was Ms. Eman Al Amri, Ms. Eman emphasized the huge switch from paying by cash to paying by cards or other electronic payment methods and its positive impact. The session concluded with a Q&A from the audience to the speakers.
