Arab Financial Inclusion Day

25th April, 2017, Muscat, Sultanate of Oman – OBA, as part of its commitment to facilitate global best practices organized a seminar on the ‘role of financial institutions in economic development’ at the college of Banking and Financial Sturdies (CBFS). The initiative aimed at raising awareness on financial literacy and banking services, comes as part of activities lined-up for OBA to mark the annual Arab Financial Inclusion Day coinciding 27th April of every year. Students, from various colleges and universities, attended seminars on various topics ranged from introduction to the Omani economy to the contribution of banks in economic development, and the role of the CBO in maintaining the Omani economy. In addition to the seminar, and in recognition of the Arab Financial Inclusion day, OBA organized visits by school students to various bank branches across the country, with the aim of familiarizing students with the daily operations of banks, and different banking products, and services.
